First day of training for Red River Radio talk show

Love my coffee!

~ Oh, the life of an upcoming radio host! What an afternoon! It was my first and only two-hour training day for the new blog talk radio show, Gate Beautiful on Red River Radio. The producer and team leader live in Texas, the technical assistant resides in Ohio, and I'm in South Carolina. Only in this world of new technology can you have a live radio show where everyone lives in a different state.

~ Besides the new technical assistant and the team leader, there is one other host on Gate Beautiful. And of course I was the last one being trained. After two hours of patiently waiting my turn, suddenly Popcorn started yelping at a squirrel, my cell phone went off, and I had to go to the bathroom! But I hung in there, the tough senior that I am. As soon as the session was over, I ran to the bathroom, answered my cell, then took Popcorn for a walk in 30 degree weather. Ahh, bliss at last.

I'm making this short. I'm exhausted. But I had a wonderfully fun time meeting these talented ladies via the internet. And we all came together from FaceBook! There are thousands of gifted men and women in the arts who are going to be discovered through blog talk radio programs around the world. I feel honored to be a small part of it all.

Our first program will air next Thursday, December 16 at 12pm Central time. I'll give more information at the beginning of next week. If you're not doing anything (Christmas shopping and baking can wait!), stop by and listen, or call in. We're at: www.blogtalkradio.com
I hope you are having yourself a very Merry Christmas season.

Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season.

The glory of God--let it last forever! Let God enjoy His creation! Psalm 104:31 The Message
