A House of Peace and Joy

God wanted to join us on the road, to listen to our story, and to help us realize that we are not walking in circles but moving toward the house of peace and joy.

The last week of August has arrived. Does that mean its the last week of summer? Even when it's 98 degrees outside? I love summer, but I'm so ready for Autumn. Yesterday when I was browsing through the Hobby Lobby Store, the fall decorations beckoned me to Come, buy! Afterwards, the Christmas aisles motioned for me to Come, see! "Wait a minute!" I told myself, "What have you been preaching all these years? Yes...that's right...stop, and enjoy the moment. Live in the now. Enjoy today. Autumn will be here soon enough." So I walked out of the store empty-handed, basking in the warmth of the summer sunshine, if only for a few more days.
~ Rob bought me a wonderful iMac this week to finish my now-completed novel Lady and the Sea. This book has been a work-in-progress for um-teen years. Its been a long road, but very rewarding, and now I am ready to release it out into the publishing world, and begin my next book, Lady on the Run.
~ So, what are you working on? A new career? An old flame? Whatever you are doing, give it your best shot! And as you continue on your journey, enjoy the trip. When you feel like you're going in circles, stop. Breath deep. Again. Focus on your Creator. He wants to speak peace over you, and talk to you about His plans for your future. Don't be afraid. He wants to take you to places that you have dreamed about. Sometimes He has to change your environment in order to get your attention...stir up the pot a bit...then He'll move you in the right direction. That's how we ended up here in South Carolina. I never imagined I'd leave southern California, but here I am. Me, Rob, and our dog. Lovin' life. I realized long ago that it doesn't matter where you live, or how big or small the house, but it's the peace within the house that matters.
I come back to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God. Genesis 28:21 NKJV

Thanks for the great reminder. As the Word says,
"Don''t worry about tomorrow, as tomorrow will have enough worries of its own". Live in the day, for this is the day that the Lord has made! And I will rejoice in this day!! Love ya, deb
