Work, Love, Play...not to be confused with Eat, Love, Pray

~ Picture of me visiting friends Helen and Christina in Sweden ~

~~ Life...gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars. ~~

~ Summer days move on, but oh, these southern sultry summer nights....they linger on and on, tempting you to pour that one more glass of sweet tea and kick back on the porch rocking chair, or fall back in the hammock by the pond. Go ahead, kick back...that's what summer eves are for...looking up at the stars...and look!...there's a full moon...and it's blue...isn't there a song about that? Everyone from Frank Sinatra to Elvis recorded that one. Speaking of Elvis, he would have been 75 this year.

~ We're waiting for friends to arrive. We went to Bible school in Sweden together; Rebecca's Norwegian; Bobby's Puerto Rican--what a combination! And they have a teen-age son to prove it. I-yi-yi! They live in California but are visiting Bobby's family in Florida. Suddenly, his uncle died, so now we're on 'stand-by' to find out when they'll be able to make it to Fort Mill.

~ Have you ever had your plans changed abrubtly? What do you do? Complain? Through the years I've sometimes blurted out a profound word that starts with a D, then quickly put on my flexible attire, then got on with life. Try your flexible attire the next time your plans are altered. Oh, gotta go...someone's knocking at my door...could it be Bobby & Rebecca showing up on our front porch unannounced? D-r-! Now, where's my flexible attire when I need it?? Bye for now!

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies announce what His hands have made. Day after day they tell the story; night after night they tell it again. Psalm 19:1-2 NCV

LOOOOOVE flexibility. Life gets too crampy without it!

Got up during the night last night and was amazed at the moonshine spilling across the floor. Beautiful!

I look forward to the coming days when the nights are just a little less sultry, tho! Fall, I'm gonna enjoy you!
