My southern Ga-Ga Sisterhood

~ For all you writers out there, here's a little encouragement. Several years ago, I was deep into writing my novel when one day as I sat in front of my laptop, staring at the screen, I talked to that piece of technology. "Laptop, I spend more time with you than i do my friends, my family, my dog, my ...." I stopped typing and walked around the room. "Lord, I thought you told me to write this book, but now I'm not so sure. I need a word from you." I opened my Bible and it fell straight to Psalm 26:7 (AKJ). I read aloud, "That I may PUBLISH with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works." I repeated the verse several times over, to get it deep in my spirit. That's all I needed to keep me going--God's confirmation that I was on the right path.

~ Writers need to be surrounded by fellow writers. Why? They understand each other. What happens when I have writer's block? Sit down at your computer and start writing. Oh, good one. I'm feeling isolated from my life. Then go out for coffee with a friend, or your husband. Hmm, great idea.

~ I love my Ga-Ga Sisterhood, known as The Artist's Studio. We meet at my Bistro every third week. We listen to each other's written words, we encourage one another, and we laugh a lot. I am in the midst of amazing women, and I don't take our get-togethers lightly. God has brought us together for this season in our lives for a divine purpose. That's exciting.

~ Well, I've been in front of my little Acer long enough...time to go snuggle with my handsome hubby **mmmm, yes**

Oceans of blessings, Sharron
