Georgia on my mind...our Savannah Trip

Rob & I had a wonderful week in Savannah, Georgia. It is truly one of the prettiest cities in America. The 300+ year old oak trees with Spanish moss draping the branches only add to the beauty of one of the oldest cities in the USA. We hopped off the trolly car and spent time in the park where Forrest Gump sat on the bench offering chocolats (Chippewa Square). And remember the feather flying past the church steeple until it landed on Forrest's tennis shoe? We were there. We walked along the riverwalk, ate at several eateries on The Market Place Walk--at Paula Deen's Lady & Sons--yummy southern cookin'. We drove to Tybee Island and stopped by Uncle Bubba's Oyster Bar for lunch (Paula's brother). I had shrimp & grits to die for, and Rob savored every bite of his Low Country Boil--shrimp, corn on cob, potatoes & sausage (pictures on my FaceBook). ~ Of course it's always nice to get home--we miss Popcorn when we don't take her with us, but she had fun at her doggie-day-spa. We will return to Savannah again, and next time we'll stay on the beach at Tybee Island. We thank God for safe & fun get-aways, and we don't take for granted the blessings that He gives us daily. Now, stop a moment and thank Him for all that He has done in your life. It'll bring a smile to your face--and His!

Oceans of blessings, Sharon
