Since having my knee replacement surgery on April 18th
I haven't had the energy to do much,
including writing.
I'm happy to report that my surgery was a success
and I'm mending well.
Don't get me wrong...I'm in pain,
swollen, and get tired at the drop of a ball cap,
but I won't complain because all of the above is part of the
healing process.

| Day 2 in hospital: It takes two to hold this lady down |
My first doctor's appointment three weeks after surgery:
my surgeon told me that he wished all his
my surgeon told me that he wished all his
patients healed as good as me.
I take that as a blessing from the Lord, and a compliment from my surgeon.
My physical therapy continues at home,
which can be quite painful.
But as the saying goes,
No pain, no gain.
So I continue.

So three weeks after my surgery and
a visit to my surgeon,
Rob and I hit the road to
attend the 7-day annual
American Coach Association Rally in
Myrtle Beach, SC.
Rob did everything to prepare for this trip
while I looked on.
His energy seemed limitless
while I spent most of my time in bed
or in my reclining chair in our sitting room.
The week at Myrtle Beach was relaxing.
I wasn't expected to do much.
Instead of heading straight home after the rally,
we drove to Raleigh, NC
and stayed with our new friends
on their 45-acre estate.
We made a few stops along the way home.
including staying two nights in Winston-Salem, NC
to visit our daughter and son-in-law,
who is the head chef at Pintos in Winston-Salem, NC
(the food is delicious!)

I love Main Street in small towns

As I write this blog, I'm on week-7 since my surgery.
We'll be heading north to Indiana on Saturday
to attend another rally to gather
more valued information, but most of all,
to meet new valued friends.
Until I write again,
I wish you oceans of sunny days.
Our road will be smooth and untroubled
no matter what care life may send;
if we travel the pathway together,
and walk side by side
with a friend.

Wonderful reading anything you write i feel like i am there with you. Is he no longer a chiropractor anymore?
Colleen, thank you for the compliment. I try to take everyone with me wherever I travel. We visited Rob's daughter; her husband is the chef. Jacquie's husband is the chiropractor and they still have Life Wellness Center in our hometown of Lexington, SC.
